Groundwork
Present Activities Include:
- Rosehill Park Activity Trail
- Sandhill Area access restrictions
- Workshops with young people regarding playgrounds/MUGA
- Workshops with toddlers regarding Rosehill Playgrounds
- Funding from HMR Pathfinder, Corus
Future Developments Include:
- Secure funding to develop toddler/junior playgrounds - Rosehill Victoria Park.
- Secure funding to develop and implement MUGA - Rosehill Victoria Park.
- Secure funding to develop and implement Youth Shelter - Rosehill Victoria Park.
- Support the YDG in their efforts.
- Support the partnership in the development of Park Hall.
- Develop new projects around the leisure centre, Hill 60 and Ryecroft after initial suggestions in Environmental Action Plan.
- Feed into HMR Pathfinder Steeing Group and embed Rawmarsh programme within HMR Pathfinder remit.
- Secure funding to implement CCTV in Rosehill Park - scheme design in project file at GDV.
- Manage IDP Programme of Environmental Activity.
- Summer Programme - support mobile skate park programme in the park.
Activate
Present Activities Include:
- Outrageous - Junior Youth Club on Tuesday at Ryecroft Methodist Church.
- Kids Friday Club - Junior Youth Club on Friday at High Street Centre.
- Lunchtime Youth Club - Senior Youth Club on Wednesday lunchtime at High Street Centre.
- Disco - 11 - 16 years on various dates.
- Team Building Sessions with St Josephs Primary School on Thursday afternoons.
- Holiday and other activities - various throughout the year for 4 - 14 year olds.
Future Developments Include:
- Look at running other sessional activities for 11 - 14 year olds i.e. Beauty Therapy, Cookery, Music and Drama with Get Sorted.
- Training for planning group members.
Rawmarsh Community School and City Learning Centre
Present Activities include:
- Range of CLC based clubs in particular 'Remix Radio' which is held in our professional radio station.
- Active Lunchtimes including; Giant Jenga and Connect 4.
- Ongoing Sports Actvities including; Easter and Summer Schools .
- After School Clubs including; Archaeology, Golf, Model Making, Environment Group, Media Club, Angling and Design Clubs.
Future Developments include:
- Summer Schools including ICT, Art, Circus and Sports.
- Expansion of Radio and TV Clubs.
- Allotment based projects for young people in partnership with RAPP.
Rawmarsh and Parkgate Partnership including RMBC Park Ranger
Present Activities include:
- Outreach workers working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
- Activity workers to work in the park on Friday nights.
- Training.
- Events in the park. Future events to include; Dawn Chorus, First Aid, Kites and creativity, Fun Day, Brass Band and much more.
- Schools using the park for environmental activities.
- Training for young people (sports, citizenship and environment)
- Employment of a Youth Resource Manager.
- Park Active. All year round availability of equipment for user groups, and equipment hire (free) to anyone during the school holidays.
- Allotment Site Development for young people working in partnership with Rawmarsh Community School.
Future Developments include:
- Summer programme of activities.
- Development of a Youth Resource Centre.
- Park Wardens
- Developing Park Active project.
Salvation Army
Present Activities include:
- Youth Club for 4 - 10 year olds on Thursday evenings.
Future Developments include:
- Capacity Building to develop youth work projects.
Youth Service
Present Activities include:
- Baby Doll Project / Stop Baby Think
- CHAT - Confidential Health Advice for Teenagers
- Lunchtime Drop In at Youth Centre
- Graffiti Project every Thursday evening.
- Two School assembly groups - voice and influence.
- Youth Club at St Mary's Church. Junior - Monday 5pm - 8pm, Middle - Tuesday 5pm - 8pm and Senior - Wednesday 5pm - 9pm.
Future Developments include:
- Anti-bullying Strategy.
