Rawmarsh Community School - Charity Balloon Race
Rawmarsh Community School and the community of Rawmarsh and Parkgate release held a Charity Balloon race during the Summer. Over 1000 balloons were released in a bid to raise money for the school and nominated charities.
The balloon release took place at the Rawmarsh Gala Day on Sunday 17th July between 12:00pm and 4:00pm.
A Portable DVD Player has kindly been donated by Chubby's of Monkwood Road, Rawmarsh for the balloon that travels the furthest.
The cut off date for returned tickets was w/c 5th September 2005.
Rawmarsh Community School would like to mention that a thank you gift will be sent to the person who returns the race ticket from the furthest destination. We would also like to advise the general public that we have followed the necessary guidelines in arranging balloon race events by contacting the Civil Aviation Authority, Local Police Departments and Local Airports including Sheffield City and Doncaster Sheffield.
