Summer Activities

These are the activities that were on offer this year. We had a wide range of activities available for the young people of Rawmarsh.

Rawmarsh Community School and the City Learning Centre have teamed up with the Big Lottery Fund and Rotherham Community Learning to provide a wide range of events and activities.

The Young People of Rawmarsh had the opportunity to get involved in the following:

ShowCommotion

Dance workshops - learn new dance routines to popular songs and theatre music.

DJ Workshops

Learn how to scratch and mix music.

Digital Textiles

Use digital sewing machines to create greeting cards for all occasions.

T-Shirt Design

Use Adobe Photoshop to produce your own T-Shirt Design and then iron it on to your own T-Shirt.

Virtual Bike

Have a go at cycling around a digital velodrome.

Circus Skills

Green Top Circus will be working with the CLC staff to teach the art and craft of circus skills including plate spinning, juggling and much more. Includes a circus demonstration to your parents, family and friends.

Remix Radio

Learn how to plan programmes for Radio. Have a go a Radio Presenting in the CLC professional radio station and broadcast LIVE!

Art Attack 2005

Rawmarsh Community School is holding an Art orientated summer school in conjunction with the Big Lottery Fund and Rotherham Community Learning.

Students from Years 6, 7 and 8 are invited to attend the week long sesssion commencing on Monday 22nd August 2005.

Students will be involved in various activities ranging from pottery to mosaic and t-shirt design.

Sessions will start at 9:30am and finish at 3:30pm. Lunch will be provided.
